| IOWA CITY, IA April 25, 2011 – For their annual spring concert, The Quire, Eastern Iowa’s GLBT Chorus, will present “Lux Aeterna”. Morten Lauridsen himself called his work “an intimate work of quiet serenity centered around a universal symbol of hope, reassurance, goodness and illumination at all levels”. An orchestra will accompany The Quire on this piece. The concert will be on Saturday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 310 N. Johnson Street, Iowa City. There is no charge for the concert, but a free-will donation will be collected. |
